TransPremium Turns 8!

Wow… to think that eight years ago, I took the bold decision to establish my own business. This decision came with its own set of ups and downs, but frankly, the ups over-weigh the downs on all levels!

TransPremium turns eight years old this month, and on this occasion, I would like to share the following:

Thank you…

To every client for the business opportunity, the lessons learned and the healthy, professional business relationship we got to establish with each other.

Interpretation assignment with War Child Lebanon

To every teammate and colleague who ever worked with TransPremium. Most of the times, you are the unknown soldiers.

To my husband, my rock. I couldn’t have possibly achieved this level of success without you! Your guidance and support amaze me. You are a trooper!

To my dad, for always being there. Yes, I am a proud daddy’s girl. I have the best role model so I might as well brag about it (he is an interpreter too, for those of you who don’t know)! No matter how successful, wise and established you think you are, your parents always know better!

To every expert I contacted to help me with specific terminology.

To my kids, for putting up with my craziness when I have a deadline to meet and I tell you to sit quietly in your room and watch TV while I get the job done. No, seriously: can you imagine translating a technical text with kids monkeying around you? Well guess what? You don’t have to imagine it. You get to experience it! I invite you to spend one afternoon with me 😛 (every freelance translator mom knows…)

And in general, to every single person I met throughout my career so far. You were all influential, each in their own right.

On a funny note though,

Thank you…

To every dictionary (online or handheld) and translation app.

To Google and Wikipedia for showing me what that text was talking about!

To every client who gave me handwritten documents to translate. I wouldn’t have known I had deciphering superpowers hadn’t it been for you!

To coffee, obviously, for helping me find inspiration and stay focused to create that content or translate that text.

To conclude

Cheers to the past, and here’s to the future! As for today, you might as well just follow my daily shenanigans on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and definitely here on the blog, so make sure you subscribe to get the latest posts via email!
