I don’t want this Month to be over!

I’ve always thought of February as the month of blessings and I explained why here. It was my kid’s 4th birthday yesterday (which also happens to be my 3rd year anniversary for becoming a certified public translator!) and although I couldn’t throw him a big birthday bash, I did manage to make him a special birthday cake and have a very intimate celebration at home, which turned out a lot more fun, and he was so happy that he started jumping for joy, lol.

As I put him to bed after a long day, I sat down and tried to recap this month’s highlights. I suddenly realized I didn’t want it to end! February has been so good to me on all levels.

There’s a saying that all good things come to an end. I refuse to believe in that. However, I do believe that good things come to those who work to make them happen, at least business wise. I’m seeing my dream come true right before my eyes and it’s amazing how that makes you feel accomplished professionally.

I’d like to think of yesterday’s small celebration as not only one for my 4 year old, but one for the entire month.

What I also realized is that it all depends on how you look at things. If you learn to look at the glass half full, you will only have positive energy around, and that generates even more positive energy, putting you in the right mindset to make your dreams come true. As far as a career is concerned, it’s about working hard and smart (and sometimes more smart than hard), and luck would have a very minor effect for that matter.

As I say goodbye to February, I get ready to welcome March with a very positive attitude. In the meantime, I’ll get back to doing what I do best: translation!
