Adios 2016

Like any other year, 2016 had its really fair share of ups and downs. While I started off the year in another continent, I’m ending it from one of my favorites places: behind my desk.

On the professional level, 2016 was not bad. I managed to make half a dozen of new clients and had the opportunity to work on some super cool projects throughout the past twelve months.

On the personal level, I’m not 100% content with how hard I worked at bettering myself. I think I could have done so much better. But I had enough eye-opening struggles and I’m lucky to have made it through them. Therefore, I will not be beating myself up, and I will be living each new day with one thought in mind: I will get there, slowly but surely.

I am a positive person by nature. I always look at the glass half full. Some might think I am naive, but I just cannot dwell in negativity. It’s just not in me. I am an “acknowledge it and move on” type of person.

So, disregarding all the negative stuff that took place in Notorious 2016, below are, in random order, a few shots depicting some of my favorite moments this year!

Kicking off 2016 in Hollywood was not a bad idea 😀

I love this family picture that we took in Hollywood. I realized we didn’t take many family photos with all 4 of us this year. This is definitely something I should be working harder on in 2017. I love capturing priceless moments like these 🙂

Starting the year with an exquisite dinner at Top of the World Restaurant at the Stratosphere Hotel – Las Vegas

Cheers from Top of the World!

Ringing in the new year with an epic cheese and wine night was simply awesome!

First day back to school of course 🙂

Nothing makes my heart happier than seeing my baby boy become a handsome little man 🙂

Big boy and baby brother enjoying the same read 🙂

My two boys are finally at a place where they enjoy doing everything together. I just wish they wouldn’t enjoy fighting together as much 😛

Mom and I – Easter 2016

My sister took this photo of my mom and me on Easter Sunday after attending mass. I love it so much that I framed it and gave it to mom as a gift. I’ve had it as my phone’s background since the moment it was taken.

Working harder on my blog

2016 saw me working harder on my blog. It’s become a form of therapy for me 🙂

Selfie during my favorite interpretation assignment this year – back in October

I had the pleasure of working with War Child Holland back in October and it was such an enriching experience!

Interview with Day Translations

Early in November, Day Translations Inc. President Sean Hopwood interviewed me for the company’s new series. It was super fun! Check out the interview here.

Shooting checked off my bucket list on my birthday – November 9

My husband took me to the shooting range for my birthday. I finally tried it! I absolutely loved it 😀

Women of Instagram event

I met influential fellow bloggers  and amazing people in 2016 through social media. Some of them became really good friends of mine 🙂

To end this post on a grateful note, I would like to thank each and every one of you who took some time out of their busy schedules to read my posts. It truly makes me happy when I receive positive feedback 🙂

Have an awesome New Year’s Eve everyone! Party hard but drink responsibly. Live in the moment but drive safely!

I hope you ring in the new year in the most epic of ways, and I hope you know nothing but peace, health, love and happiness in 2017!
