February 21, International Mother Language Day

Today is International Mother Language Day!

No matter how many languages you learn, you’ll always have only one mother language, which is such a fascinating thought.

A mother language is like your identity. My mother language is Arabic, and I’d love to know what your mother language is, so please write it in the comments below!

Hungarian. According to sociolinguistic research you dream, count, curse and confess love best only in your mother tongue.

Literally, “mother language ” would be the language spoken by your mother. If you grow up in a home where 3 languages are spoken, it is difficult to say. As for dreaming, I sometimes dream in Latin and curse in Polish, which are certainly not my mother tongues.
