November 19, the International Day for Prevention of Child Abuse

Print

The World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse is to be commemorated every 19 November in synergy with the anniversary of the International Day for the rights of the child (20 November).

The World Day aims to be a rallying point around the issue of child abuse and to emphasize the need to mobilize and educate governments and societies to take action to prevent child abuse, including sexual abuse and exploitation.

Few are the NGOs that aim at raising awareness against child sexual abuse in Lebanon, but we have had the privilege of joining hands with one of those few, which is BiKaffe, a local nonprofit organization that adopts child sexual abuse cases and works closely with pediatricians, therapists and lawyers to make sure that the victim receives proper care and the abuser is brought to justice.

BiKaffe also organizes seminars in different educational institutions to raise awareness and educate both adults and children about child sexual abuse, in addition to staging events and organizing entertaining activities for children.

TransPremium.com has volunteered to produce BiKaffe’s website content and to support them by offering all the linguistic services they need, because we believe in their cause, and because we also believe that children are our future, so we have to make sure they live a healthy, happy childhood. We encourage everyone to support such organizations to make the world a better place for children.

For more info on the BiKaffe’s work and if you would like to offer them any type of support, make sure to visit their website (bikaffe.org).
