Fouad el-Mohandes Honored with Google Doodle
Google honored Egyptian stage and screen actor Fouad el-Mohandes with a doodle today.
Born on September 6, 1924 in Cairo, el-Mohandes knew stardom from the 1950s on to the early 2000s, having played, for the most part, comedy roles in dozens of theater, cinema, and TV hits for over fifty years.
Fouad el-Mohandes died on September 16, 2006. He was 82.
It is noteworthy that the celebrated actor was the son of linguist Zaki el-Mohandes, the Dean of the Faculty of Dar Al Oloom and a member of the Arabic language Academy of Egypt.
