#BloodMoon: Don’t Miss the Longest Lunar Eclipse of the Century
Tonight the world will witness the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st century!
The moon will pass by the earth’s shadow and become fully blood red for a couple of hours.
While that event is in itself fascinating, that’s not all there is to it: We will also witness Mars at opposition, which occurs once every 15 to 17 years. Mars will come so close to Earth that we can actually see it with the naked eye! Talk about a once-in-a-red-moon event!
I hope we will be able to see Mars in Beirut! I’m breaking the “sleep early” rule tonight to let my eldest stay up late and watch the eclipse with us at night 😀
Below is the eclipse timing in Beirut.
I can’t wait to take beautiful pictures!
