It’s the capital city, chief port and main attraction in Thailand. Bangkok is a vibrant place that is bursting with nightlife, incredible food, plenty of shopping and a ton of culture. It’s a stunning city to visit and there are numerous reasons why millions of tourists flock there every year. There are so many things to look forward to whilst traveling especially when you’re in a place as rich and cultural as Bangkok.   1. Chao Phraya River

It’s the biggest river in Thailand and flows straight through the center of Bangkok, so you certainly can’t miss it. If you’re looking to shop ‘til you drop, Siam Paragon is the place to be in Bangkok. As well as being one of the most extensive malls in the city, it’s also home to hundreds of recognizable stores and luxury boutiques.

The heat in Bangkok never seems to end, so if you’re looking for an hour or two of shade, why not cool off in Sea Life? Much like its namesake, this is truly a unique tower in that it’s actually unfinished. Originally, it was planned as a high rise complex but during the Asian financial crisis in 1997 construction was stopped when the building was around 80% finished.

A truly breathtaking place to visit, which contains the famous Phra Phrom statue, representing the Hindu God of creation. The architecture of the shine is stunning and well worth a visit if you’re hoping to absorb some local culture whilst in Bangkok.
