Chris is one year old today! Where did the time go? How did he go from being a baby to being a toddler overnight? I’m still not ready!

My sweet bundle of joy, my 3rd boy, my forever youngest is a baby no more! I am super proud but at the same time I am so sad to close this chapter in my motherhood journey!

Exactly one year ago today, I was in the delivery room of a California hospital, welcoming my beautiful baby on a perfectly sunny day. He was tiny, and I was in love.

Now I look at him and he is a healthy and happy baby – scratch that – toddler, like, how? When? Time, please slow down!

Chris is the perfect baby: an always happy, always smiling boy who is so sociable that anyone who sees him can carry him and play with him, and he would just play along and might even give them a kiss or a wink. He’s so cute he makes my heart melt! He is also super sharp and smart. He imitates sounds and gestures instantly, and talks back and looks around when you call him. Oh and the cooing? It’s the most adorable! And he lately picked up the funniest habit: shrieking when he wants something he can’t reach. Yes, I LIVE for those moments and I find them the cutest and the best ever!

Happy birthday, baby Chris! Thank you for choosing me to be your mom. I’m the luckiest!
