Bikaffe’s Awesome Initiative: Help Underprivileged Kids have a Great Summer

Colonie Jeunesse is a summer camp organized by the Lebanese NGO Bikaffe to entertain children and raise awareness against child abuse.

The summer camp suggests different entertaining activities: dancing, singing karaoke, swimming, sports (basketball, football, etc.), theater, excursions, cooking sessions, crafts, coloring, face painting and all kinds of fun stuff that all children enjoy.

The camp will take place at the National Brothers School – Hadat, and will last from July 6 till August 14, 2015, from Monday till Friday, from 8:30 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.

Bikaffe welcomes Lebanese children aged 4 to 12 who have limited financial abilities and who are from the areas surrounding the summer camp’s location.

Bikaffe has the financial abilities to host the summer camp almost free of charge for up to 25 children only. With your support through, the NGO will be able to accomplish its missions and organize its camp for free for up to 200 children costing $22,000, in addition to paying the equipment and excursion fees as well as other administrative costs (insurance, employees, transportation, etc.).

The summer camp will be an approach to make children aware of the dangers of child abuse all while providing them with an entertaining, fun environment.

The children will therefore become more conscious and alert to avoid abuse cases, and more brave to speak up and report said cases when they occur.
