A Daily Routine To Make You More Successful

Striving to be the most successful person you can possibly be in life is always on our minds. It is such an important thing to have ambition in life and to be willing to dedicate some of our time and effort toward making our dreams come true.

If you are hoping to become more productive and successful in your daily life, there are some important healthy habits to consider implementing into your day.

All of these things will help you to wake up right, fuel your body, and be able to work on the projects you love and allow you to succeed in your endeavours.

Try this daily routine or take some of these things and add them into your own day this week.

Wake up early

One of the best habits that productive and successful people share in common is waking up early. CEOs and business people wake up as early as 5:30am to start their day right and get as much done as they can. You don’t have to wake up quite this early, however waking up and being able to start off your day right is a useful way to live and it will allow you to be much more productive and successful every day.

Start the day with movement

One of the best things you can do for yourself, whether you are trying to be a more productive individual or working as an entrepreneur, is to start your day with movement. This means trying out a workout with a company such as beachbody company and starting off your day by raising your heart rate, moving your muscles, and releasing endorphins into your bloodstream. Working out first thing in the morning has a few different benefits for your body and your mind. Firstly, it will wake you up and make you feel full of energy for the day. Secondly, it will help you to lengthen and strengthen your muscles and make your body happy. And thirdly, by working out as soon as you roll out of bed – you are less likely to make excuses and skip this important part of your health and fitness routine. Try adding a 15-30 minute workout to your morning every day and see what a big difference it can make to your whole day, as well as your body.

Stretch it out

Another great thing to do during that first hour after waking up is to go into your living room or out into your garden and stretch your muscles out with some yoga. Yoga is a physical meditation practice that can do wonders for your mindset and your body. If you have been feeling stressed recently and pent up, starting your day with just 10 minutes of yoga can help you feel much happier and more energised.

Enjoy a cup of coffee

There is nothing better than a nice hot beverage to wake you up in the morning and allow you some calm time before the work begins. Take the time in the morning to grab yourself a cup of coffee, tea, or herbal tea and enjoy sipping on this while you catch up on your emails or messages and take the morning slow. By allowing the body to come to and wake up naturally, you will feel much better throughout the day and you won’t get that dreaded after lunch burn out.

Make a big breakfast

There is a phrase that is incredibly important to remember if you want to stay healthy and lean throughout your life:

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a lord, and dinner like a pauper.

In other words, breakfast should be the most important as well as the biggest meal of your day because it fuels you from the moment you wake up when you are most active. As the day goes on you should eat smaller meals until your dinner is a simple balanced dish. By starting the day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast such as bacon, eggs, bagel, spinach, tomatoes and avocado – you will fuel yourself for a healthy morning and it will allow you to feel more energised and focused when conducting your most important tasks of the day.

Pack a healthy lunch

Another important thing for you to do before you head off for work is pack yourself a nutritious and healthy lunch. This will prevent you spending money on something that is packed full of salt and sugar and will instead allow you to eat something packed with protein and healthy carbs to get you through the rest of your working day. A steak salad or a good chicken pasta dish can be great options and ones that can be prepared a few days ahead of time.

Start work earlier

If you work from home and you want to become a more successful person – one of the best tips is to start your working day earlier while your mind is still fresh for the day. Starting working earlier also has the added benefit of allowing you to finish earlier and this can be a great thing for you to do. Creating a healthy work life balance where your working day ends earlier is good for the soul and many people find it much easier to get things done earlier in the day.

Take regular breaks

One thing you might consider to be counterproductive as you work hard each day is taking breaks. However, the value of a 10 minute break cannot be overstated and you must take this into consideration to ensure that you make the most of every single bit of your time. If you never give yourself time away from the computer screen or from the task at hand, your brain won’t have time to refresh and reset and this can spell trouble for you and cause you to burn out and be unable to continue your productive working. Make sure that you take breaks every hour for 5-10 minutes and allow your brain to refresh before you continue.

Take the stairs

One habit that many successful people have in common is that they choose to take the stairs rather than the lift. If you have the option of both things in your workplace, you should always choose to walk up the stairs because this will do your body and your mind some good. For your mind, it will release adrenaline and endorphins to keep you alert and happy, and for your body it will do wonders for your heart as well as your leg muscles.

Drink plenty of water

One of the most important things you should bring into your daily routine is drinking more water. Drinking plenty of water every day is such an important part of staying healthy and hydrating your body and your brain will help you keep a clear head and stay healthier as a result. Make sure to drink lots of water every day and this will make a massive difference to your day. You can also infuse your water with fruit such as lemon or strawberry to help it taste a little sweeter and give you something more exciting to enjoy.

Switch off properly

After your working hours are over it is crucial to switch off completely and say goodbye to work until the next day. This is something that far too many people don’t do and this is something that can have a huge impact on you as a person. By not switching off properly and continuing to think about work, you won’t give your brain any time to reset and rest and this can soon cause stress and be detrimental to your mental and physical health. Be sure that you always switch off and enjoy your time with family and friends outside of work.

Go for a walk

Fresh air is one of the greatest remedies your mind and soul, and if you fancy making a positive change to your life this week you should start going for a short walk at the end of the day. Walking in the fresh air will benefit your heart and your body, and the sunshine will provide you with vitamin d that is essential for your immune system as well as your nervous system. Ideally walking 10,000 steps a day will make a massive difference to your health, but even a 20-30 minute stroll can have a positive effect on you.

Enjoy a healthy balanced dinner

When you have switched off for the evening, it is important that you fuel your body with a meal that is balanced and healthy. Ideally you would fill up half of your plate with carbs such as vegetables, a quarter with protein such as meat, and another quarter with a healthy fat source such as avocado. By providing your body with all of the nutrients and vitamins it needs – you will feel healthier and happier, and you’ll be able to be more successful every day.

Use these tips to bring some better habits to your every day and allow you to become more productive and successful in your working life.
