How to Get Customers Into Your Store

Having a brick and mortar store is a lot of work. You have to work the floor yourself, unless you can hire staff, and you have to be there from opening to closing. The best way to make this experience as enjoyable as possible is to have something to do, and the greatest thing to do is tend to the droves of customers who are going to come into your store. Here is how to drive business through your door.

Make Yourself Noticeable

You want people to see your store from down the street. The best way to stand out is to paint your store front a flashy color that will get people’s attention. Something that goes along with your brand like a specific color or pattern will really make you stand out. Also, having a custom flag made with your logo or for a certain time of year like Pride, Christmas, or national holidays will also get a pedestrian’s attention.

Offer Something For Free

Let passers by know that they can come in the front door and get something for free. It can be something as small as PopSockets for your cell phone, a cell phone case, hand sanitizer, or some other small item that will get people in the front door so they can see what you are really selling.

Once they are in and you start interacting with them, they can get a feel for your vibe, your product, and they may just purchase something while they are there. Chances are they are going to tell their friends who are going to tell their friends, and before long, you will have a client base.

Have An Amazing Window Display

An eye-catching window display is the real life equivalent of creating great online content for your social media pages. The right window will get you a lot of customers who are walking by. Think about big name department stores like Macy’s who are known for their storefront windows that attract a lot of people to the front of the store.

Use your window to its full advantage. Change it frequently and make it pop culture relevant so that people will want to take photos in front of it and post it on their socials with a tag to your store. It’s free advertising that can reach around the world.

Have a Weekly Sale

Make it the same day every week. Offer a Friday sale or a Saturday sale, and start to get people in the store. Loyal followers will come into the store every week to get a discount on some of your best items. This is also a great day to introduce everyone to newer items or items not on sale that may get purchased because customers will be saving a lot of money on other items.

Conclusion

A lot of shoppers love in person shopping, and if you can make it fun and interesting they will continue to patronize your store. Give clients something to come in for and they will come all the time.
