The 5 Health Red Flags You Need To Address Right Away

It is vital for us to look after ourselves in the right way. But this means that sometimes we think that we just need to be stronger and “put up” with certain problems. As we get older we are more prone to certain ailments. But rather than ignoring them and powering through, look at the symptoms that can be major red flags. You should never ignore any of these:

Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain is a very common occurrence, and if you have any persistent pain in any part of your body you should never ignore it. Back pain can come from a number of sources; it could be that you are not lifting properly or you are just exposed to too much stress. When we have lower back pain, there are a variety of chiropractic care services that can help us to address these problems. But if you are experiencing any long-term pain and it’s affecting your head or chest, there could be something more serious underlying.

You Are Bloated

If you feel bloated, this could be a sign that you are eating things that aren’t good for you. Many people who are intolerant to wheat will experience bloating, but if you experience the problem after certain foods, the best thing for you to do is to remove them from your diet. Also, if you are constantly bloated, this might be a sign of major abdominal issues. For example, if you have a distended belly, it’s important to get in contact with a doctor because this could be a very early warning sign of certain cancers or cysts.

Fluctuations in Temperature

If you’re either too hot or too cold and you can never get comfortable, you could be experiencing issues with your thyroid. An overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) will speed up your normal body processes which means you burn energy faster and will make you heat up. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) will slow your body down, so it is harder to stay warm. Either way, get in contact with the doctor.

Feeling Tired All the Time

Yes, we can all feel tired, but if you feel tired after a good night’s sleep, visit the doctor to see if there are signs of fatigue. If you are experiencing a lot of stress in your life, it’s important to dial it in.

Certain Aches and Pains

As we transition to the fall months we might feel the cold or our joints ache a bit more, but if we are experiencing a lot of aches, it could be an early sign of bone issues. From the age of about 30, our bones can begin to weaken, which could result in osteoporosis in later years. Luckily it’s easy to fix your bone health through a number of simple practices, including weight training.

As you can see, there are a few red flags that everyone needs to address. But it’s also important to remember that sometimes we all have off days when it comes to our health. But if you ever have any concerns, get in contact with your health professional.
